At Flowerpot Bay Lodge we aim to heighten the inescapable sense of isolation and history that governs our island way of life; a life not dictated by calendars and clocks, but rather by wind and tide. While we do have some worldly modcons, such as wireless internet, Sky TV and a fairly normal telephone system, we purposely do not provide in-room TVs, mini-bars or spa baths. You may also be delighted that there is no cell phone coverage on the Chatham Islands!
Like our communal island way of life, guests are encouraged to engage with each other during their stay, whether at the bar, in the hot tub or out quad biking. Don’t worry: not all activities are group orientated. If you simply want to zone out on a secluded beach, enjoy some of our fine wine on your private balcony or watch the sunset around a camp fire, your needs can be catered for.
In fact, your Pitt Island holiday can be whatever you want it to be! Whether you want a full-on action packed week of activities or a relaxed, make-it-up-as-you-go few days out, we will do our utmost to assist.
While we do offer casual accommodation at the rates listed, our specific holiday packages provide significant savings on rates and activities. Alternatively we are happy to tailor any package to suit your needs.
Given that there are no alternative accommodation or dining options on Pitt Island, our $250 flat daily rate per person for all rooms includes full breakfast, lunch and three course dinner. This rate will be applied to any quoted package. Please refer to our Activities & Rates page for details. ​
